25 Aug 1942: RTAF Corsair force-landed near Muang Phayak, Shan State; Mongprasert, pilot, & passenger survived (T03)

25 Aug 1942: Sgt Chamrat Mongprasert, pilot, and Sgt Khampan Sriwilai, passenger, flew from Chiang Rai Airfield in Vought Corsair fighter, No. 11/77, to airdrop medical supplies in Kengtung; but the engine failed along the way and the pilot had to land in a swamp near Mong Hpayak1 (Google Maps link): The plane was badly damaged. Pilot and passenger suffered minor injuries and had to travel back to Chiang Rai by foot.2
